For the Record

Kids don't listen any more attentively when you increase the volume of your voice.

Au contraire, mon frere. My brother and I absolutely did that when my Dad raised his voice. Then again we were scared shitless of him.

Could be a fear, thing, yes. My daughters know when I'm serious and stop cold in their tracks; but, it doesn't have anything to do with volume.
